What is the Extended privacy setting?
If Extended privacy mode is switched on, no user specific data (i.e. user profile data) is stored. Data gathered while the Extended privacy mode was on, stays anonymised and can not be enriched with user profile data anymore.
Views made during Extended privacy mode will stay anonymized and will show in reports as Protected Confluence Users.
How do I switch Extended privacy mode on or off?
Administrators can go to General configuration > Viewtracker > Data Privacy and toggle the mode on and off.
I want to make sure my administrators can't disable the Extended privacy mode.
The configuration of the Extended privacy mode can be set on the system level of Confluence as a system parameter.
- See Predefined extended privacy for information how to enable the system parameter.
If this is the case, a Confluence Administrator cannot change the setting through the Viewtracker configuration interface.
