With great pleasure, we announce the release 4.0 of the bitvoodoo Enterprise Theme
Next to a better mobile integration, our main goal of this release was to make the administration interface smarter and easier to use. Here are some highlights of this release:
Mobile branding, mobile dashboards & menu integration
The Enterprise Theme now allows you to apply the same look and feel you configured for the desktop view to the mobile view.
- The colors you configured for the header are now also used in the mobile view. The mobile view now looks more familiar to your users.
- Your logo is now displayed in the center of the mobile view header.
Next to these elements, additional great Enterprise Theme features now are added to the mobile theme too. You now can create mobile dashboards and optimize them for the use on a mobile device! And you can access your menu structure on the mobile to find content faster than before.
Simplified Design & Theme Configuration
The theme configuration user interface has been completely redesigned to make it easier to use.
Design Management & Color Configuration
Both the standard Confluence colors and the design specific colors can now be configured from a single new interface.
Did you make a change to a color element and you would like to revert the change? No problem, color adjustments now can be reset to their initial value.
Simple and coherent Advanced Settings
The theme and the color configuration have been separated into two different administration screens. Now they can be set independently from each other - per space or globally.
If the language selector is enabled, you can now configure which languages should be available in Confluence. These languages will be used in the Enterprise Theme language switcher.
With the new Enterprise Theme version 4.0 we've introduced a completely new way of editing sections. The position of the sections is now displayed visually to help you see where your changes will take effect. Since the new section editior uses the Confluence editor, there is no need to fiddle around with wiki markup anymore. Just use the macro browser to insert or update macros. It's now also much easier to see which sections have been customized globally or use some space specific content.
Now available: Much improved documentation with:
- Getting Started
- Administrator Guides covering all features of the Enterprise Theme
- Developer Guides to create own designs or extend the Theme
- How-to's covering common questions users ask
Updates and fixes in this release
Before you upgrade, we recommend you to create a backup of your theme configurations. If necessary, this export can be imported again after upgrading.
Notes to other developers
This part contains some information relevant for add-on developers, who have already extended the theme with their own design add-on.
- The whole section implementation was rewritten and is now stored in Active Objects. All Bandana entries will be migrated to the new format.
- The default tab style changed from flat to normal
We've made changes to the CSS styles of headings to align them more closely with the default heading styles of Confluence. Feel free to use the following CSS in your global or space specific stylesheet, if you want to use the old Enterprise Theme heading styles:
To get rid of certain images and to fix some other issue, we changed the following CSS rules, which have effect on already existing custom developed design add-ons:
