Writing content in different languages

Use a specific language macro to write content in the languages supported by Confluence.

Switching between languages

To check if the macro works according to plan, use the drop-down in the upper-right corner and choose another language you used on that page.

If you want to change the language of the entire Confluence interface including the main text, you'll have to change the language in your user settings.

This is done as follows:

  1. Click on your profile icon in the top right corner. Choose "Settings".
  2. You will see your current language setting.
  3. Click on "Account Preferences".
  4.  Click on the "Language" menu and choose a different language. Note that your language setting will also affect Jira and JSM. Your setting will be saved automatically.
  5. Leave the "Account Preferences".
  6. Access any Confluence page with language macros.
If this page has content in the language matching your user language, it will now be displayed to you (you may have to refresh the page first).
